CentacareCQ opens its doors for last-minute accommodation for Beef Australia 2018
Posted on May 4th, 2018
WITH Beef Australia 2018 just days away, CentacareCQ has opened its doors to provide a last-minute disability and aged care friendly accommodation for visitors to the triennial event.
Their newly renovated premise in Bolsover Street will provide bedding for up to four people and features disability amenities and hospital grade equipment on site.
CentacareCQ support services team leader Leisa Kilsby said the self-contained accommodation was in the prime location, close by to all the action of Beef Australia 2018.
She said CentacareCQ’s transportation service was also available for guests to ensure daily access to the event and the wider city for a small fee.
“CentacareCQ is known throughout the region for specialising in aged care and disability services for more than four decades,” Leisa explained.
“A prestigious event such as Beef Australia 2018, which attracts thousands of visitors across the country and internationally, means that Rockhampton is in the global spotlight.
“One of the great things about Rockhampton is our strong community spirit; to provide support to those who need it and CentacareCQ is driven by this notion.
“Accommodation at this time in Rockhampton is slim. By providing a last-minute accommodation option for visitors (that is aged care and disability friendly) gives a family or four individuals another opportunity to attend this triennial event and have the support they need to get there and make the best of their visit.”
Following Beef Australia 2018, Leisa explained the premise would become a house providing 24-hour support for families who have a loved one in need of temporary care. The premise will also be accessible to those living in regional areas needing to travel to Rockhampton for much needed medical support.
